This is the cable for a fixed installation. One end has the 4-pin plug for the router. The other end has a 4-way screw terminal block where you connect your own wires.
It is the tidy way to run a Teltonika router from the leisure battery in a motorhome, caravan or boat, from the fuse box in a vehicle or from a 12 V or 24 V supply in a cabinet.
Which routers it fits
It fits these Teltonika routers and gateways with the 4-pin, 3 mm pitch power socket:
- RUT: RUT200, RUT202, RUT240, RUT241, RUT260, RUT261, RUT271, RUT281, RUT901, RUT906, RUT950, RUT951, RUT955, RUT956, RUT976, RUT981, RUT986
- TRB: TRB140, TRB141, TRB142, TRB143, TRB145, TRB500
- RUTX: RUTX08, RUTX09, RUTX10, RUTX11, RUTX12, RUTX14, RUTX50, RUTXR1
- RUTM: RUTM20, RUTM30, RUTM50, RUTM51, RUTM52, RUTM54, RUTM56
- RUTC: RUTC40, RUTC41, RUTC42, RUTC50, RUTC54
- Older and other models: RUT230, RUT300, RUT360, RUT900, RUTM08, RUTM09, RUTM10, RUTM11
We checked every model above against Teltonika’s own wiki pages for the power socket and power draw. Our Teltonika router power guide has a page per model with the input range, pinout and end of life status. A few Teltonika devices use a different socket or pinout and do not fit, for example the RUT204, RUT206, RUT276, RUT286, RUTM55, TRB245, TRB255 and RUT850. If your model is not listed, ask us before you order.
The cable passes the supply voltage straight through, so the router’s own input range applies. Most RUT and TRB routers take 9 to 30 V and the RUTX and RUTM series take 9 to 50 V. The TRB143 needs at least 12 V, so check the model page in our guide.
How to connect it
- Disconnect the battery or switch the supply off before you start.
- Connect the red wire (Power +) to positive through an inline fuse placed as close to the battery as possible.
- Connect the black wire (ground) to negative.
- Leave the green and white wires free unless you use the router’s input and output. Insulate the ends.
- Click the 4-pin plug into the router and switch the power back on.
Always fit an inline fuse
The cable has no fuse of its own. A leisure battery can deliver a very high current if a wire is damaged, so fit an inline fuse in the red positive wire, close to the battery. A 2 A slow-blow fuse suits the routers in the list on 12 V.

Frequently asked questions
Can I connect it directly to a 12 V battery?
Yes, that is what it is made for, as long as there is an inline fuse in the red wire near the battery.
What are the green and white wires for?
They are the router’s digital input and output on the 4-pin connector. Use them for an alarm or remote switching, or leave them unconnected if you only need power.
