This cable powers a Teltonika router from the 12 V or 24 V socket in a vehicle, the one often called the cigarette lighter. There is nothing to wire. Plug it in, click the 4-pin connector into the router and it starts. The fuse and a power LED sit in the plug.
Teltonika routers take 12 V and 24 V directly, so there is no inverter and no 230 V adapter in between. That saves battery power and leaves one less box in the vehicle.
Which routers it fits
It fits these Teltonika routers and gateways with the 4-pin, 3 mm pitch power socket, including the 5G RUTX50 and RUTM50:
- RUT: RUT200, RUT202, RUT240, RUT241, RUT260, RUT261, RUT271, RUT281, RUT901, RUT906, RUT950, RUT951, RUT955, RUT956, RUT976, RUT981, RUT986
- TRB: TRB140, TRB141, TRB142, TRB143, TRB145, TRB500
- RUTX: RUTX08, RUTX09, RUTX10, RUTX11, RUTX12, RUTX14, RUTX50, RUTXR1
- RUTM: RUTM20, RUTM30, RUTM50, RUTM51, RUTM52, RUTM54, RUTM56
- RUTC: RUTC40, RUTC41, RUTC42, RUTC50, RUTC54
- Older and other models: RUT230, RUT300, RUT360, RUT900, RUTM08, RUTM09, RUTM10, RUTM11
We checked every model above against Teltonika’s own wiki pages for the power socket and power draw. Our Teltonika router power guide has a page per model with the input range, pinout and end of life status. A few Teltonika devices use a different socket or pinout and do not fit, for example the RUT204, RUT206, RUT276, RUT286, RUTM55, TRB245, TRB255 and RUT850. If your model is not listed, ask us before you order.
Good to know before you install
- Many vehicles switch the 12 V socket off with the ignition. If the router has to stay on with the engine off, use a socket with permanent power or the screw terminal cable on the leisure battery.
- The router draws from the vehicle battery whenever it is on. On a long stop, keep an eye on the battery or switch the router off.
- The cable is rated for up to 2 A, which covers every router in the list on both 12 V and 24 V.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work on 24 V in a truck?
Yes. The input range is 9 to 30 V, so it works on 12 V and 24 V systems alike.
Does it power the RUTX50?
Yes. The RUTX50 accepts 9 to 50 V and stays below 2 A on 12 V even at full load, so this cable powers it without a problem.
