This roof antenna was developed by Smart Power Cable for 5G routers with four mobile antenna ports, such as the Teltonika RUTX50 and RUTM50. All four 4G/5G cables connect directly to the router, so no Y-adapter is needed and the router can use its full MIMO capacity.
It covers 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G from 600 to 6000 MHz with up to 10 dBi gain. Two separate Wi-Fi cables for 2.4 to 7.125 GHz move the Wi-Fi of the router up to the roof, which gives Wi-Fi inside the vehicle and up to about 50 metres around it. The seventh cable is for GPS.
The housing measures 191 mm across and 49 mm in height, is rated IP68 and is specified for -40 to +85 °C. It is fixed through the roof with a 60 mm M20 bolt, and a 3M VHB pad seals the base against the surface.
Download speeds of over 400 Mbit/s have been measured with a 5G router and this antenna. The speed you get always depends on the network and the coverage where you are.
Installation and connection
- The M20 bolt needs a hole of 21 to 22 mm in the roof. Clean the surface, place the antenna on the VHB pad and tighten the nut from the inside.
- Blue shrink tube marks the four 4G/5G cables with SMA male connectors. Red shrink tube marks the two Wi-Fi cables with RP-SMA connectors.
- On a 5G router with four mobile ports, connect all four 4G/5G cables. On a router with two ports, connect two of them.
- The Wi-Fi cables are used on routers with detachable Wi-Fi antennas, such as the Teltonika RUTX and RUTM series.
- The cables are about 2.5 m long. If the router sits further away, the 4G/5G cables can be extended with low-loss SMA antenna cables.

Frequently asked questions
Does it fit my Teltonika router?
Yes. The 4G/5G cables have SMA male connectors that fit the mobile antenna ports on Teltonika routers, and the Wi-Fi cables have RP-SMA connectors for the Wi-Fi ports. Use all four 4G/5G cables on the RUTX50, RUTM50 and other 5G models with four ports, and two of them on models with two ports.
Does it work with other routers?
Yes. It works with 4G and 5G routers and modems that have SMA antenna ports. Routers with other antenna connectors need an adapter cable.
Do I need the 5G Y-adapter with it?
No. The antenna already has four 4G/5G cables. The Y-adapter is for 5G antennas that have only two cables.
Can the cables be extended?
Yes. The 4G/5G cables can be extended with low-loss SMA antenna cables, SMA male to SMA female. Keep the extension as short as possible, since every metre adds some loss.
