Teltonika RUTXR1 power supply and cables

Need power for a Teltonika RUTXR1? It is a industrial 4G router that takes 9 to 50 V DC, and all three of our cables fit its 4-pin socket.

  • 4-pin socket
  • 9 to 50 V DC
  • Peak 11.1 W at 12 V
  • End of life

We sell the cable, not the router. We do not sell the Teltonika RUTXR1 itself. What you can order here is the cable or supply that powers it, made by us.

End of life

Teltonika has announced end of life for the Teltonika RUTXR1. Orders are accepted until 3 February 2027, production runs until 3 August 2027 and support continues until 3 August 2032. Teltonika has not listed a direct replacement.

Please note

The RUTXR1 has two power sockets for redundant supplies. Teltonika's powering page shows input and output on pins 3 and 4, but its interface overview lists no I/O, so do not rely on those pins until you have checked your unit.

About the Teltonika RUTXR1

The RUTXR1 is the rack-mountable member of the RUTX family. It has an SFP port, five Gigabit Ethernet ports, a console port, dual SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi and USB, and it has two power inputs for redundant supplies. At 272 mm wide and about 1.15 kg it is built for 19-inch racks.

It is used in server rooms and telecom racks as a cellular backup for the main line.

The car cable and the 230 V supply only use pins 1 and 2. The I/O wires are on the screw terminal cable.

How much power the RUTXR1 draws

Teltonika measured the Teltonika RUTXR1 at 3.4 W when idle and 11.1 W at full load on a 12 V supply, about 924 mA. That is 62% of what our 18 W supply can deliver.

Which cable should I pick?

  • Wall socket. The simple choice indoors: plug in and the RUTXR1 starts.
  • Vehicle. For 12 V cars and 24 V trucks. The RUTXR1 accepts up to 50 V.
  • Cabinet, battery or solar. For DC rails, batteries and solar. Green and white bring out the I/O. Add a 2 A slow-blow fuse near the source.

Install tips

  • For redundancy to be worth anything, feed the two sockets from different sources. Two adapters on the same power strip protect against a broken adapter, not a tripped breaker.
  • The Teltonika RUTXR1 is rated to 50 V, which gives good margin on 24 V vehicles. A clean supply is still the best protection against spikes.
  • Do not let the cable hang from the plug. A cable tie a few centimetres from the socket stops vibration from working it loose.

Teltonika RUTXR1 power FAQ

?What is the input voltage range of the Teltonika RUTXR1?

Anything from 9 to 50 V DC on the 4-pin socket. Our 12 V supply, a 24 V truck system or a 48 V DC rail all work.

?Does the Teltonika RUTXR1 come with a power supply?

New units usually ship with a 9 V wall adapter. A second cable makes sense for spares, a second site, or an install where a wall plug is not practical, such as a vehicle or a DIN rail cabinet.

?The Teltonika RUTXR1 has two power sockets. Do I need two cables?

Only if you want redundancy. The router runs on one supply. With two, it keeps running if one fails. For full redundancy, connect the second cable to a separate source, for example a different circuit or a UPS.

?Can I use the input and output on the Teltonika RUTXR1 with your cable?

Teltonika's pinout page shows input and output on pins 3 and 4, which our screw terminal cable brings out on green and white. Check your unit's manual first, since the interface overview does not list them.

?Is the 18 W supply strong enough for the Teltonika RUTXR1?

Yes. The Teltonika RUTXR1 peaks at 11.1 W on 12 V, about 62% of the supply's rating.

?Is the Teltonika RUTXR1 included with the cable?

We do not sell the Teltonika RUTXR1. Our shop has three power options for it, and that is all we sell for Teltonika devices.
