230 V power supply
For a desk, a shop or any spot with a wall socket. Uses about 51% of the supply at peak.

Three ways to power the Teltonika RUT955, a four-port 4G router: a 230 V wall supply, a 12/24 V car cable and a screw terminal cable. All fit its 4-pin socket.

For a desk, a shop or any spot with a wall socket. Uses about 51% of the supply at peak.

For 12 V cars and 24 V trucks, passing 9 to 30 V straight through.

For DC rails, batteries and solar. Green and white bring out the I/O.
Teltonika stopped taking orders for the Teltonika RUT955 on 31 July 2023 and supports it until 31 July 2028. The official replacement is the Teltonika RUT906. These use the same 4-pin socket, so our cables fit them too.
The RUT955 was the RUT9 model with everything: GNSS, RS232, RS485, USB and an extra I/O block on top of four Ethernet ports and dual SIM. It has reached end of life, but it was a favourite in transport and utilities, so a lot of them are still bolted in place.
Many sit in buses, trams and pumping stations where the router is hard to reach, so a reliable power lead matters.
| Pin | Function | Our wire |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Power (+) | Red |
| 2 | Ground (-) | Black |
| 3 | I/O | Green |
| 4 | I/O | White |
The car cable and the 230 V supply only use pins 1 and 2. The I/O wires are on the screw terminal cable.
With everything busy, Teltonika's figure for the Teltonika RUT955 is 9.2 W at 12 V, and about 2 W at rest. Even that peak leaves 8.8 W spare on the 18 W supply. At 24 V Teltonika lists a peak of 9.3 W.
The Teltonika RUT955 accepts 9 to 30 V DC on its 4-pin socket. That covers 12 V and 24 V systems, but not 48 V.
New units usually ship with a 9 V wall adapter. A second cable makes sense for spares, a second site, or an install where a wall plug is not practical, such as a vehicle or a DIN rail cabinet.
Teltonika's official replacement is the RUT906. It keeps the 4-pin socket and the 9 to 30 V range, so the cable stays the same.
