230 V power supply
A replacement for the original adapter, with 13.8 W of spare capacity.

Everything about powering the Teltonika RUT951, a four-port 4G router: the voltage it accepts, its real power draw and the cables that fit.

Bare ends for a DC rail or battery. Green and white are the I/O pins (not on Active PoE units).
The Active PoE version of the RUT951 (product code RUT951*1****) has a 9 to 57 V range over PoE and no pins 3 and 4 on the power socket. Our cables still power it through pins 1 and 2.
The RUT951 is the current four-port, dual-SIM RUT9 router and the natural step up from a RUT950. Teltonika also makes it in an Active PoE version, and that detail matters for power: the PoE version has a different input range and drops the input and output on pins 3 and 4.
It is a popular pick for retail sites and small branch offices that want failover between two operators.
| Pin | Function | Our wire |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Power (+) | Red |
| 2 | Ground (-) | Black |
| 3 | Digital input (not on Active PoE) | Green |
| 4 | Digital output (not on Active PoE) | White |
Colours refer to our screw terminal cable. The car cable and supply use the power pins only.
On 12 V, the Teltonika RUT951 draws about 351 mA at its busiest, or 4.2 W. Left idle it sits near 1.1 W. Our 230 V supply is rated 1.5 A, so the router uses roughly 23% of it at peak. On a 24 V supply the peak is about 4.7 W.
Yes, both. The input range is 9 to 30 V DC, fed through the 4-pin power socket.
Any DC supply within 9 to 30 V DC on a Teltonika-style 4-pin plug will work. Our 230 V supply gives 12 V at 1.5 A, which suits the Teltonika RUT951.
They plug into the same 4-pin socket and carry power on pins 1 and 2, so the router will power up. On the Active PoE version the input and output pins do not exist, so the green and white wires of the screw terminal cable have nothing to connect to.
On the standard Teltonika RUT951, green is the input and white the output. On the Active PoE version those pins are not present, so leave the two wires unconnected and insulated.
Plenty. At 4.2 W peak, the Teltonika RUT951 uses 23% of 18 W.
Not the router, no. We are an independent maker of power cables. The Teltonika RUT951 is a Teltonika product sold through their own channels.
