Roku Streaming Stick power cable: questions and answers

Thinking about running Roku Streaming Stick from the TV's USB port instead of a wall socket? These are the questions we hear most often about the Roku Streaming Stick power cable, each with a short and honest answer. If yours is missing, write to us.

Questions customers ask

Does it fit every Roku Streaming Stick?

Roku has made several Streaming Stick models over the years. Check the power input on yours before you order, and write to us if you are unsure.

My TV has more than one USB port. Which should I use?

Try each one. Some TVs deliver more current on one port than on another, so the best port is the one where the Roku Streaming Stick runs without restarting.

Is the Roku Streaming Stick included?

No. You get the power cable only. Keep using your own Roku Streaming Stick and plug it into the TV's HDMI port as before.

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes. The power cable only provides power. Apps and channels come from the Roku Streaming Stick, which needs Wi-Fi or another internet connection, for example a mobile router in the motorhome.

How quickly will it arrive, and can I send it back?

Orders placed before 13:00 on a working day leave the same day, and always within 3 working days. Shipping is €15 within the EU and €29 to the rest of Europe, tracked with DHL. You can return it within 14 days of delivery and you cover the return postage. Details are in our terms and conditions.
