Google TV Streamer power cable: questions and answers

Thinking about running Google TV Streamer from the TV's USB port instead of a wall socket? These are the questions we hear most often about the Google TV Streamer power cable, each with a short and honest answer. If yours is missing, write to us.

Questions customers ask

Is the Streamer included?

No. This power cable is for people who already have a Google TV Streamer. It powers the box from the TV's USB port, a USB charger or a 12 V USB socket.

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes. The power cable only provides power. Apps and channels come from the Google TV Streamer, which needs Wi-Fi or another internet connection, for example a mobile router in the motorhome.

If I switch to another stick later, can I keep the cable?

Yes. It is one and the same power cable for every stick we have tested, so it moves over when you upgrade. Our cable guide shows the tested devices.

Is it ready to use out of the box?

It ships charged. Even so, give it about 60 minutes on a USB port before first use for a full charge. From then on it keeps itself topped up.

How quickly will it arrive, and can I send it back?

Orders placed before 13:00 on a working day leave the same day, and always within 3 working days. Shipping is €15 within the EU and €29 to the rest of Europe, tracked with DHL. You can return it within 14 days of delivery and you cover the return postage. Details are in our terms and conditions.
